DRAINAGE Issue

On this job we were contacted by the customer about his concerns regarding an excessive amount of water coming down the driveway towards the house and parts of the driveway were in fact being washed out with heavy rains. After assessing the situation we felt the most realistic solution was to create a swale alongside the drive to direct the water down hill and away from the house. Check basins of larger bluestone were placed roughly every 15’ to help slow the water flow but still allowing it to flow naturally, eliminating the erosion problem as well. Note: The river birch trees along the drive were also planted by RiverShore.
